The future of River Road - - as Jamison Road!

Hey, River Roadies!

Wow - 2011 was quite a year for us! We got to play countless times for our dear friends - in BBQ joints, living rooms, pizzerias, bars, lakeside docks, county fairs, and garages - and we got to meet so many new friends along the way. Some of you came with us to California, some of you came to every single gig at B-corns, and some of you "like" everything we post on Facebook. We can't tell you how grateful we are for your support because it has led us to where we are today: on the verge of a whole new chapter. So much has happened!

To sum it all up, River Road was recruited by a Nashville talent manager, decided to make an album, and - because of another Nashville band by the same name - needed to change our identity. After many long nights of discussion, we are now and forever JAMISON ROAD!!

This past weekend we were in Nashville with our co-managers, Frank Larry and Karen Clark, and we recorded the first four songs of our record at Larry Beaird Studios! To say that it was amazing is an understatement - - it was LIFE-CHANGING for us. Six accomplished musicians played on our recording, and the results left us breathless. The first time the music started - "Another Day" was the first song - - Jennifer couldn't even sing for a moment because she was so close to tears. Laurie stood speechless, and Brent said he felt nauseated "in a good way." It was a moment that we will never forget as long as we live. We are going back to the studio in March to finish the CD, and we hope to have it out in May 2012. We will post the songs as soon as they are ready!

Hey, River Roadies!

You may think by looking at our events calendar that we are settling down for a long winter's nap... but that is just the opposite of what is happening! Maybe you noticed over the last few months that River Road has been playing more and more original songs - - well, we have been at home and in the studio writing and recording more of those, and we are getting ready to head to Nashville in January to record our first professional demo! We've also been working on new photos, a music video (!), and a new website. We can't tell you how much your support throughout 2011 has meant to us. Stay tuned for what's coming next!

Merry Christmas, River Roadies! We are excited to announce the First Annual River Road Christmas Party that we are throwing at York Street Cafe to celebrate YOU! We will be bringing our full band, and if you haven't seen Dave and Dave playing with us, you are going to love them!

It's been a big year for River Road, and we would have never had this much fun or had these opportunities if it hadn't been for YOU. So to show our appreciation, we have arranged an event at one of our favorite places with NO COVER CHARGE. So come one, come all (but the room is only allowed to hold 100 people...)!! If you are feeling generous, please bring non-perishable food items that will be collected and given to a local food pantry.

The benefit concert will offer encouragement, support, and love as Brianna continues her journey on the road to recovery from a horrific car accident on August 6, 2011.

River Road has had quite the summer... A regular schedule at Barleycorn's, an amazing gig on the dock at Elk Lake, our two-day wine extravaganza in California.... We want to thank all of our loyal fans (both our Cincinnati / Northern Kentucky AND our new California fans!) who have been there to watch us play in 95 degree heat, singing and dancing even on stage with us - - you are the best! We appreciate you telling your friends about us, because it is definitely bringing new opportunities our way. We are having the time of our lives making music for all of you, and we hope you are having as much fun as we are!
